How We Started

Spinasshop Limited began in 2020 when three friends from the North East saw a gap in the market. Emma Clarkson, a botanist who loved plants but struggled to keep them alive, joined forces with Rajesh Patel, an interior designer obsessed with creating beautiful spaces, and Sarah Thompson, who believed good design should be sustainable.

It started with artificial plants. They were sitting in a Newcastle workshop one rainy afternoon, surrounded by yet another collection of wilted houseplants. Emma looked up and asked, “Why can’t we have plants that look amazing but don’t need constant attention?”

That simple question sparked everything.
